True Sabbath Day Saturday–Through all these evidences we can confirm that the true Sabbath is the Saturday, not Sunday. Some might say, “Does it make any difference?” “Does it matter if it is Sunday or Saturday in so far as we dedicate ourselves in the worship of God on that day?”
The answer is “Yes”. God said that we must not add or subtract from the words of God. When we change the day of worship from Saturday to Sunday, we doing the two things together at the same time. We add Sunday and subtract Saturday. By doing so, we end in adding plagues to us and taking the eternal life and kingdom of heaven away from us. It means we cannot receive salvation.
Mark 7:6 He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: “‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. 7 They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.’ 8 You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.” 9 And he continued, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!
Jesus warned against following man’s tradition and custom plainly. And he said that he would not accept that kind of worship. After reading from the bible, still can we say that it is OK to worship God on Sunday even though it is not biblical?
The Blessings Promised On the Sabbath Day
True Sabbath Day Saturday–Then what kind of blessings are promised on the Sabbath day? Let us find it out through the bible.
Exodus 31:12 Then the Lord said to Moses, 13 “Say to the Israelites, ‘You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the Lord, who makes you holy.
Firstly, the Sabbath Day was given as sign between God and his people. God is spiritual and we are physical. We cannot know the spiritual realm since we are living in a physical world. For this reason God gave us the Sabbath Day so that we can recognize the true God. When we keep the Sabbath Day, spiritually we are sealed with sign as children of God.
Also by keeping the Sabbath day, we can come to know the true God, God the Creator who created heaven and earth. And by knowing him we can be a part of his creation work and will be made into a new creation. Even though we are not holy, we can be made holy through the Sabbath.
Jesus healed many diseases on the Sabbath Day. Through this he was showing the creation work of God on the Sabbath healing our sins and impurities and making us holy.
Lord of Sabbath, Jesus Christ
True Sabbath Day Saturday–Some say that the Sabbath was a regulation in the Old Testament. Since the Christ’s abolishment of the laws through the cross, we don’t have to keep the Sabbath. Is it true? As Christians, we have to follow examples of Christ, right? Then what was the teaching of Christ the Lord of Sabbath?
Matthew 12:8 For the Son of Man (Jesus Christ) is Lord of the Sabbath.
Luke 4:16 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom.
As the Lord of Sabbath, Jesus gave us an example of keeping the Sabbath Day. We cannot see any evidences of Jesus’ keeping the Sunday worship. In the same way, the disciples of Jesus also kept the Sabbath Day, not the Sunday.
Acts 17:2 As was his custom, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures
Acts 18:4 Every Sabbath he reasoned in the synagogue, trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.
Following Jesus’ example, Paul also kept the Sabbath Day. Following the examples of Jesus and disciples we also have to keep the Sabbath Day holy without adding or subtracting the words of God.
Those Who Practice Lawlessness
True Sabbath Day Saturday–Then in spite of the warning of God, if we do not keep the law of God, what will happen to us? God teaches us of the result of lawlessness.
Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
Evildoers cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. Then who are the evildoers?
Matthew 7:23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ (NKJV)
Another version of the bible explains that the evildoers are those who practice lawlessness. That is, they are the ones who do not follow and obey the laws of God. And they are ones who do not do the will of God. That is why God does not allow them to enter the kingdom of heaven.
Then what is the will of God, Sabbath worship or Sunday service? In the Old and New Testament, the bible says that the Sabbath or Saturday worship is the law of God. Therefore, whoever wishes to do the will of God must keep the Sabbath holy. Sunday worship is just man’s tradition originated from the sun god worship. And we cannot receive any blessings through the Sunday worship.
Conclusion
True Sabbath Day Saturday–Through the words of God in the bible we have examined about the true Sabbath Day. Now we come to understand that the Sabbath Day or the day of rest in the bible is Saturday, not Sunday. Therefore, we must keep the Sabbath Day holy by worshiping God on Saturdays.
Following the teachings of Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother, World Mission Society Church of God (or WMSCOG) keeps and practices the Sabbath worship by having the worship services on Saturdays. Come to WMSCOG and keep the Sabbath Day holy. Then you will come to understand the blessings God allows to his people who keeps the Sabbath holy.
Like Jesus did, we have to keep the Sabbath on Saturday, as was our custom taught by Jesus.
Amen. In that way, we can call ourselves as Christians who follow the examples of Christ. Christ never taught anything about Sunday worship.
God commanded to keep the Sabbath Day holy.
Jesus kept it , and the Apostles kept it.
Then what about us?
Heaven is to follow the path that Jesus walked in obedience.
wow. it’s truely true the sabbathday is saturday as following Jesus and disciples. everything has been changed by opposite part from God. I need to figure them out , what has been changed from the truth in the bible.
Exactly we need to know the identity of the one who changed the words of God. In the story of the Garden of Eden, who deceived Adam and Eve and made them disobey the command of God by giving falsehood to them? It was the work of serpent that is Satan. It is always Satan who is working to deceive people so that they would not know the truth. Satan deceives people with falsehood to lead them away from God and salvation. Therefore, we should always be aware of the work of Satan. Otherwise, we can follow what is not good in the eyes of God such as Sunday worship, Christmas, Cross worship, etc…
The 7th day, Sabbath is God’s commandment that we must to keep to the end of the world.
Amen. God commanded, “Keep the Sabbath holy.” Let us keep the Sabbath Day..
Following the examples of Jesus Chirst and His disciples, we also have to keep Sabbath holy as one of our customs. All the examples were set up by Jesus Christ for the purpose of giving salvation to us. We must know God’s will and His love through this fact.
Today’s Christians believe in Jesus. If so, why do they keep the Sabbath according to the teaching and the example of Jesus. It doesn’t make sense! I think anyone who believes in Him, he or she should worship on Saturdays, not Sundays, because worship on Saturday is the very teaching of Christ Jesus.
The seventh day is Sabbath day that is Saturday, not Sunday. We must keep it Sabbath day and then we can keep the words of God and enter the kingdom of heaven. Only the Church of God keeps the Sabbath day because Christ Ahnsahnghong restored Sabbath day.
For a long time I was spiritual blind and deaf. I went to WMSCOG for five years. Sincee then I began to realize the Truth of Bible day by day.
Only the Church of God keeps the Sabbath day according to the teachings of the Bible, because Christ Ahnsahnghong, the 2nd coming Jesus, establish this church.
Before we knew that we must sabbath day with holy heart.
Then in this word of God we could understand sabbathday is saturday.
Why don’t you keep sabbath day with us to recieve blessing from God?
When we remember and keep the Sabbath holy, we can enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
The Sabbath is the day that God appointed eternal blessing to give us.
Those who keep the Sabbath are recognized as God’s people.
It’s amazing grace that I am keeping the Sabbath the law of God. This is the narrow gate to guide us to the heaven.
Amen. It truly is a narrow gate. So few people are aware of the Sabbath and keep it holy.
God is always right. He always tries to give blessing to us who are grave sinners and gave us too much easy ways. Only if we keep the Sabbath, we can be promised with eternal rest in heaven.
The tradition of Sunday worship, which has been observed for thousands of years, turns the truth away.
We can realize the will of God when we discard stereotypes and human traditions.
The important thing to remember is the fact that God chose the seventh day as the day of worship, then how can humans change it ?
Jesus and the apostles kept the Sabbath on the seventh day.
We must follow the teachings.
If we observe the Sabbath day, our soul will become clean and happy.
Only those who keep it in faith can feel the grace of God.
Sabbath Day is a commemoration between God n God’s ppl that we must keep it as a lasting covenant.
Until here, all of Christians know, but they have no idea the day- some says that Sunday n some Saturday n some no matter any day. exact the day is Saturday not Sunday which worships for sun-god.( Mk 16:1~9)
Keep the sabbath day that is a Saturday holy
If it doesn’t matter to keep the worship at any time, God didn’t need to say that ” remember the Sabbath and keep it holy”. It is very important for God’s people. So we should remember the Saturday and keep it holy for our blessing. Among much blessing, God gives us the sign between God and us. Before the judgement, we will be in front of God. At that time, we could say that “we have the sign”. That is the Sabbath. I give all thanks to God who allows us this!!
Among many days, God chose the seventh day and made it special for His people. It is Saturday. On the day, God wants to give abundant blessing. 3,500 years ago, God the Father, Jehovah called it His day. 2,000 years ago, God the Son, Jesus said that it is His Sabbath. Nowadays, God the Holy Spirit appeared and revealed this for everyone. He is God Ahnsahnghong.
Amen. Sabbath should be kept on Saturday. I am proud of keeping the true Sabbath in the true church, the World Mission Society Church of God. Thanks to our God the Father Ahnsahnghong, we came to have a sign between God and God’s people. If we want to go to the Kingdom of Heaven, we first should keep the Sabbath. Thanks to God the Father and God the Mother!
The seventh-day Sabbath is Saturday, not Sunday.
Our salvation cannot be given by man, only by God, our Creator.
That is why we must not blindly believe in and follow people’s long-standing traditions or commandments, but must absolutely keep the commandments that God has commanded based on the Bible, the Word of God. It is a day to commemorate the power of God the Creator who saves us, and let us receive the blessing of eternal rest by keeping the seventh-day Sabbath, which contains God’s blessings, to the ends of the world.
