Christ Coming As Melchizedek
Today, let us check out about Christ coming as Melchizedek through the prophecies of the bible. We can find a figure, Melchizedek, in the Bible. Melchizedek appeared for the first time in the book of Genesis
Genesis 14:17~18 After Abram returned from defeating Kedorlaomer and the kings allied with him, the king of Sodom came out to meet him in the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley). Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High,
As you can see, Melchizedek’s history is very short, so you can easily overlook Melchizedek. However, there is no meaningless figure in the Bible. Surprisingly the name, Melchizedek, appear again in the book of Hebrew,
Hebew 5:8~11 Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek. We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to learn.
“We have much to say about Melchizedek” means Melchizedek is an important figure in the Bible. Then why the Bible, which has records for our salvation, says Melchizedek is an important figure?
Christ Coming As Melchizedek And Jesus
Hebrew 5:8 ~10 Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.
Who came as the Son? He was Jesus.
Hebrew 7:16~17 one who has become a priest not on the basis of a regulation as to his ancestry but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life. For it is declared:
Hebrew 6:20 where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.
Jesus has become a priest forever, in order of Melchizedek. That means Jesus is a prophetical Melchizedek. In other words, Melchizedek is a figure foretelling Christ Jesus. However, it seems that there is no relationship between Jesus and Melchizedek. Now let’s find the relationship between Jesus and Melchizedek through the book of Genesis where Melchizedek for the first time appeared.
Why Is Jesus Melchizedek?
Genesis 14:17~18 After Abram returned from defeating Kedorlaomer and the kings allied with him, the king of Sodom came out to meet him in the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley).
Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. As a priest of God Most High, Melchizedek blessed Abraham with the bread and wine. In the age of Old Testament, priests offered sacrifices of animals like sheep or goat to God. But Melchizedek was the only priest of God who offered bread and wine to God as sacrifices. By the way, Jesus blessed us through bread and wine just like Melchizedek.
Above picture a.k.a “The Last Supper” is a scene where Jesus kept the Passover. Jesus has given us the forgiveness of sins through the Passover bread and wine. It is the reason why the Bible testifies Christ Jesus as a priest in the order of Melchizedek.
The Passover And Second Coming Jesus
Melchizedek blessed Abraham through bread and wine. Then what does Jesus, prophetical Melchizedek, bless us with?
John 6:54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day
Whoever eats and drinks Jesus’s flesh and blood will receive the eternal life. Let’s see the Passover scene again.
Mathew 26:17 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?”
Mathew 26:26~27 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it (wine), all of you. 28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
Jesus Christ coming as Melchizedek said that the Passover bread is Jesus’s flesh and the Passover wine is Jesus’s blood. It means that we can receive eternal life by keeping the Passover.
Jesus blesses us with eternal life through the Passover just like Melchizedek blessed Abraham through bread and wine. Even though there are many churches in the world, where is the church which keeps the Passover with the teaching of Jesus? None! It is because the Passover was abolished at 325 AD at the Council of Nicaea.
History Of Abolishing The Passover
How can we expect to receive salvation without the Passover? God already knew that the Passover would be abolished and prophesied God would come to the earth a second time to restore the Passover.
Heb 9:28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
Jesus said that he would appear a second time to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. We can’t receive the eternal life without the Passover. So when Jesus comes again, he would bring the Passover back to give salvation.
Among many priests, it was only Melchizedek who brought bread and wine in the Age of Father. And it was only Jesus who kept the Passover with bread and wine in the Age of Son. Therefore, if there is a man who restores the Passover which was abolished, he must be the second coming Jesus who would come as prophetical Melchizedek.
Even though no one had restored the Passover for 1600 years, there is a man who restored the Passover. He is Christ Ahnsahnghong. Therefore, Christ Ahnsahnghong is Second coming Christ coming as Melchizedek who the Bible testifies.
